An Excerpt From My “Dirt Road Diary”

Ever since I turned my parents onto Florida Georgia Line a year and a half ago, they’ve been begging to go to a show. So when Luke Bryan announced FGL would be touring with him and that they’d be bringing the Dirt Road Diaries Tour to Atlanta, I jumped on the opportunity. I actually took off the Monday after the concert before even purchasing the tickets. And speaking of purchasing the tickets! I had a promo code from FGL so the morning of the presale I set myself up in front of my computer and Live Nation app on my iPhone waiting for that clock to hit 10am. Well it turns out everyone in the Luke Bryan Fan Club bought up all the presale tickets the day before. So once again on Saturday morning I sat myself in front of my computer and phone waiting for 10am. I swear the concert was sold out in seconds. Quickly I headed over to ticketliquidator.com and snagged three lawn tickets for about $15-20 extra per ticket. Ugh! But you know what, I had my tickets and I was happy. Now I just had to wait a few months until the concert day finally came.

Come On Baby Let’s Go Listen to the “Night Train”

About 6 months ago Jason Aldean announced that he would be bringing his Night Train Tour with Jake Owen and Thomas Rhett to UGA’s Sanford Stadium which included special guest Luke Bryan. Knowing how awesome this concert would be and the fact that Luke Bryan was going to be there, I talked my parents and then boyfriend into going. So a month after that I frantically picked tickets the second they went on sale. The concert sold out within the hour. Now it was time to impatiently wait. Unfortunately 5 weeks before the big day someone decided to step out of my life, leaving me with a shattered heart and an extra ticket. Luckily my brother was able to step in. I was glad for this because Dad doesn’t get to see Andrew often and I think he was in need of some guy time since he lost a good friend when I lost a boyfriend.

Luke Bryan’s Farm Tour 2012

Five years ago I had tickets to see Kenny Chesney in Columbia which included an opening act by Luke Bryan. He might not have been big back then but I wanted to see him anyways. Unfortunately he was the first opening act and I missed him. I was devastated. Four years later my Mom found out about the Farm Tour but by the time we got all the information and the group chose a location, the tour was sold out. The devastation just grew larger. When it was announced that Luke Bryan would be touring with Jason Aldean this year and they had a weekend stop in Atlanta, I was ecstatic. I’ve seen Jason before so I knew this would be double the party. It wasn’t a hard decision to choose Luke & Jason over the All-Star Race but when Mom logged onto Ticketmaster for the sale, the concert sold out in around 4 or 5 minutes. Luckily because of the high demand, a second night was added in Atlanta. We were pumped for another try, until the concert immediately sold out again. By now I figured this concert was a lost hope.
